Sizing the intercom+
Four models separated by connection count. Count the wireless base stations first, then the mobile radios, then the auxiliary devices. SON201 handles six connections and one radio. SON204 handles ten and four. Buy for the system you are building rather than the one you have today.
Remote heads+
Every model has a matching remote head — SON201RH through SON204RH — and all of them are IP67 rated. A remote head puts intercom control at a second position rather than only at the intercom itself, which is what an operator away from the cab actually needs.

Product overview
The SON200-Series is the installed hub of a Sonetics system. It connects up to 10 wireless base stations, four mobile radios, and four auxiliary devices such as cell phones — which is what turns a set of wireless headsets into an integrated communications solution rather than a private conversation between five people.
Four models cover four sizes of install. SON201 carries six headset or base-station connections and one radio. SON202 carries eight and two. SON203 carries ten and three. SON204 carries ten and four. The step between them is connection count, not capability, so the sizing question is simply how many base stations, radios, and auxiliary devices this vehicle or facility will end up with.
Each model has a matching remote head. SON201RH through SON204RH are IP67 rated, and they exist so that intercom control lives where the operator is rather than where the intercom was mounted. On a vehicle that usually means a second working position; in a facility it means the control room and the floor.
The auxiliary connections are worth planning for. Four auxiliary devices including cell phones means a phone call or a recorded feed becomes part of the team's audio instead of something one person holds to their ear while everyone waits.
