Sizing the intercom+
Four models differ by connection count. Count the headset and Wireless Base Station connections, then the radios, then the auxiliary devices. The 5100D has six, one and one. The 5400D has ten, four and four.
Retrofits+
The 5000D Series is 100 percent retrofit compatible with existing Firecom installations and customizable to accommodate new or existing radio and intercom configurations. It has the same form factor and connections as 30xxR intercoms. If you are replacing an older Firecom intercom, send us the model number that is in the apparatus now.

Product overview
The Firecom 5000D Series Digital Intercoms allow users to connect up to four radios for simulcast interoperability with mutual aid or other agencies to improve operational efficiency and responder safety. When combined with Firecom Wireless Base Stations and headsets, the Digital Intercom enables interference-free communications for up to 40 wireless headset users per system. It can also handle up to 10 wired headsets or a mix of wireless and wired headsets.
Four models are sized by connection count. The 5100D has six headset or Wireless Base Station connections, one radio connection and one auxiliary connection. The 5200D has eight, two and two. The 5300D has ten, three and three. The 5400D has ten, four and four. Each model has a matching remote head, 5100DRH through 5400DRH. The remote head duplicates the intercom faceplate and is IP-66 rated water and dust-resistant for mounting outdoors and on vehicle exteriors, such as at the pump panel.
The Digital Intercom interfaces up to four additional devices, with Aux in/outputs for computers, GPS, cell phones, MP3 players and more. Monitor up to four radios simultaneously and transmit on one or more radios. Radio activity, priority, volume and squelch can be programmed and adjusted from the faceplate.

Water-resistant remote head
The remote head duplicates the intercom faceplate, including controls such as volume and radio selector. It is IP-66 rated water and dust-resistant for mounting outdoors and on vehicle exteriors. The intercom has one remote head jack; with a splitter, up to four remote heads are supported.

Up to four Aux in/outputs for computers, GPS, cell phones, MP3 players and more. Radios and cellular phones interface using modular components.
5400D
Retrofit compatible
100 percent retrofit compatible with existing Firecom installations and customizable to accommodate new or existing radio and intercom configurations. Compatible with existing Firecom Base Stations, wired headsets and mobile radio interface cables.
Pump panel and headset modules
The HM-10 headset module and the HM-30 Pump Panel Module, with 75 feet of preinstalled cable, put headset connections where the crew works. A DM-1 dash-mount PTT switch and an FS-1 foot switch are also available.

The remote head is a duplicate of the intercom faceplate. All controls, such as volume and radio selector, are duplicated on it. Inside the apparatus it is typically mounted flush on the radio console or in the OEM overhead console. Outside the apparatus it is often positioned on or near the pump panel. It is IP-66 rated, and each intercom model has a matching remote head.
The HM-30 Pump Panel Module includes 75 feet of preinstalled cable and allows easy one-handed gloved operation. The HM-10 headset module covers a single position elsewhere on the apparatus. Both are separate line items from the intercom.
Yes, if the phone has hands-free capability. The 5000D Series connects up to four auxiliary devices, including a cell phone, through AUX adapter cables. Direct-wired cell phone conversations are broadcast on the intercom to all crew members. Tell us what you want to connect and we will include the right adapter on the quote.
