Product overview
The 5000-Series is the piece of a FIRECOM system that everything else plugs into. It connects up to 40 wireless headsets and up to four radios, which is what allows simultaneous communication with mutual aid and other agencies rather than one channel at a time. On a working incident that is the difference between an officer who can hear both the fireground and the county, and one who is switching back and forth.
Four models cover four sizes of apparatus. The 5100D carries six headset or wireless-base-station connections, one radio, and one auxiliary input. The 5200D carries eight, two, and two. The 5300D carries ten, three, and three. The 5400D carries ten, four, and four. Each has a matching remote head — 5100DRH through 5400DRH — that extends intercom controls up to 1,000 feet from the intercom itself and is IP67 rated, which is how a pump operator or a rear position gets real control instead of a headset jack.
The auxiliary connections are worth planning for. The intercom interfaces up to four auxiliary devices including cell phones, so a phone patch, a scene recorder, or a tablet becomes part of the crew's audio rather than something one person holds to their ear.

IP67 remote heads
A matching remote head extends intercom controls up to 1,000 feet and is IP67 rated. That is what puts real control at the pump panel or a rear position instead of a bare headset connection.

Pump panel and headset modules
The HM-10 headset module and the HM-30 pump panel module with a 75-foot cable put connection points where the work happens. A DM-1 dash-mount PTT switch and an FS-1 foot switch cover positions where hands are not free.
