PTT radio transmit and full-duplex crew communication in four wired headsets: UH-51, UH-51S, FH-51 and FH-51S.
Reading the model numbers+
UH is under-helmet and FH is over-the-head. The 51 models have PTT radio transmit with full-duplex intercom. An S suffix means a single-ear design that lets in ambient noise for situational awareness: one slotted ear muff on the UH-51S, a single ear muff on the FH-51S. Neither provides complete hearing protection.

Product overview
The Firecom FH-51, UH-51, FH-51S and UH-51S wired headsets deliver all the benefits of hands-free, full-duplex communication with your crew. Operating with a stand-alone intercom system or integrated with a mobile radio, the flexible design brings all crew members into constant communication.
All four models transmit on the radio with a push-and-hold transmit button. The PTT button requires a solid push, eliminating accidental transmissions. Firecom lists them with its 50-Series Wired Headsets.
Choose the wear style and the level of hearing protection. UH-51 and UH-51S are under-helmet, with a behind-the-head band and adjustable over-head strap that easily accommodates use with helmets. FH-51 and FH-51S are over-the-head, with a broad padded headband that remains comfortable for hours of wear. UH-51 and FH-51 are dual ear muff headsets with a 24dB NRR. UH-51S has one slotted ear muff without speaker, which allows ambient noise for situational awareness but provides no hearing protection. FH-51S is a single-muff headset and does not provide complete hearing protection.

24dB NRR hearing protection
UH-51 and FH-51 have dual ear muffs with a 24dB noise reduction rating (NRR) and ComLeather over memory foam ear seals for hours of comfortable use. They are IP65 rated for dust and water protection when worn.

Over-the-head or under-helmet
FH-51 and FH-51S have a broad padded headband. UH-51 and UH-51S have a behind-the-head band with adjustable over-head strap that easily accommodates use with helmets.
Single-ear models for situational awareness
UH-51S has one slotted ear muff without speaker that allows ambient noise for situational awareness. FH-51S is a single-muff headset. Neither provides complete hearing protection.

Enhanced microphone and simple maintenance
A flexible mic boom with slide adjustment rotates for left or right dress, with a noise-cancelling electret microphone and a mic muff that eliminates wind noise. Black ear muffs clean easily, and the glove-rugged plug is made for longer life.

Positions that transmit on the radio. The 51 models communicate over radio with a push-and-hold transmit button. The 52 and 54 models are PTT intercom or push-on/push-off intercom with listen-only radio, and will not transmit on the radio.

A Firecom intercom. On a full apparatus that is a 5000D Series Digital Intercom, usually through an HM-10 headset module or an HM-30 Pump Panel Module.
