Reading the model numbers+
UH is under-helmet and FH is over-the-head. The 54 models have Push-On/Push-Off intercom with listen-only radio: you hear the connected radio but do not transmit on it.

Both have listen-only radio. The 54 has Push-On/Push-Off intercom, with a toggle on-off switch that opens the microphone for continuous intercom communication. The 52 has PTT intercom, so the user pushes a button to talk.

Product overview
The Firecom FH-54 and UH-54 wired headsets deliver all the benefits of hands-free, full-duplex communication with your crew. Operating with a stand-alone intercom system or integrated with a mobile radio, the flexible design brings all crew members into constant communication.
Both models have Push-On/Push-Off intercom with listen-only radio. A toggle on-off switch opens the microphone for continuous intercom communication, and the PO/PO button requires a solid push, eliminating accidental transmissions. The 54 does not transmit on the radio at any position.
UH-54 is the under-helmet model, with a behind-the-head band and adjustable over-head strap that easily accommodates use with helmets. FH-54 is over-the-head, with a broad padded headband that remains comfortable for hours of wear. UH-54 lists at $360 and FH-54 at $355. Both have dual ear muffs with a 24dB noise reduction rating (NRR).

Listen-only radio
Hear the radio through the headset. The 54 does not transmit on the radio at any position. Fully programmable to user specifications.
24dB NRR hearing protection
Dual ear muffs with a 24dB noise reduction rating (NRR) and ComLeather over memory foam ear seals for hours of comfortable use. IP65 rating for dust and water protection when worn.

Over-the-head or under-helmet
FH-54 has a broad padded headband and lists at $355. UH-54 has a behind-the-head band with adjustable over-head strap that easily accommodates use with helmets, and lists at $360.
Enhanced microphone
A flexible mic boom with slide adjustment rotates for left or right dress. A noise-cancelling electret microphone ensures optimal clarity, and the mic muff eliminates wind noise.
Simple maintenance
Black ear muffs for easy cleaning, a black powder-coated headband for durability, and a glove-rugged plug for longer life. Ear seals, acoustic foam, hanger hooks, and extension cables are stocked replacement parts.
