The WB505R has a dual-antenna design and up to 1,600 feet of line-of-sight range. Mount it on glass for maximum range. Optional external antennas, a 12-foot magnet-mount or a 17-foot permanent mount, are for exterior use only.

Product overview
The WB505R DECT7 Wireless Base Station connects up to five Firecom 50- or 500-Series wireless headsets in full-duplex communication on the apparatus and the fire scene, with up to 1,600 feet of line-of-sight range from the base station. It connects to a 5000D Series Digital Intercom, so the wireless headsets reach the radios and auxiliary devices on the apparatus.
DECT7 communications are transmitted in a high definition wide band audio format for greater intelligibility. The DECT7 standard ensures interference-free, digitally encrypted communications, and Proximity Pairing means the Wireless Base Station will only pair to wireless DECT7 units in close proximity.
Two features go beyond the cab. Headset to Multi-Base Station lets you pair a 500-Series Wireless Headset with up to four WB505R Wireless Base Stations, so you can move between rigs and connect to nearby crews. Broadcast mode supports up to 80 users for training or educational applications, and a user can transition to talk mode as needed.

Wireless DECT7 broadcast mode
Supports up to 80 users in broadcast mode for training or educational applications. Headsets are paired in a listen-only mode. Pressing the Radio PTT button lets a user momentarily talk on any available open slot, and a tone lets the user know when they can talk.

DECT7 communications are transmitted in a high definition wide band audio format, which allows greater intelligibility of the user. Wireless DECT7 encryption keeps conversations private.
Connects to the Digital Intercom
The Wireless Base Station connects to a 5000D Series Digital Intercom, which links the wireless headsets to the apparatus radios and auxiliary inputs. It can be powered from the apparatus or with the included wall-charger.
