Bluetooth is the whole difference. Both models transmit on a connected radio, both carry stereo listen-through, both run 24 hours, and both are rated 24dB. The 507 adds Bluetooth for a phone or a tablet and lists at $1,045 against $945. If no one at that seat needs a phone in their ears, buy the 505.

FHW507.V2 converts easily between overhead and under-helmet wear, so one headset follows a firefighter from the cab to the roof. UHW507.V2 is dedicated under-helmet. Same electronics, same price, same features — this is purely how the headset sits on the head.

Product overview
The 507 models are the top of the 500-Series: everything the platform does, with Bluetooth. That last part is what usually decides the seat. An officer who needs to take a phone call, run a tablet, or bridge a device into the crew's audio wants a 507. A firefighter who only needs the intercom and the radio does not, and the 505 saves $100 a headset.
Everything else is the 500-Series platform. DECT7 gives high-definition audio between crew members instead of the compressed, clipped sound that analog produces once the pump is working. Stereo listen-through feeds the scene back into the cups — the pump, the saw, the officer standing beside you — without breaking the hearing protection seal, and its volume is independent of intercom and radio volume, so it gets set once per firefighter and left alone. Radio transmit lets that position key a connected radio, and any 500-Series headset can also be direct-wired to a portable radio with a FIRECOM portable radio adapter cable.
The difference between the two 507 models is wear, not capability. FHW507.V2 converts between overhead and under-helmet; UHW507.V2 is dedicated under-helmet. Both list at $1,045.

Two microphones feed scene audio into the cups so a firefighter hears the people and equipment around them without lifting a dome. Listen-through volume is independent of intercom and radio volume.
